Located at the very east end of the Yakima Valley AVA, Knox Road Vineyard is five miles west of Red Mountain on Knox Road in Benton City near Prosser. The site elevation ranges from 850 feet at the North end to 775 feet at the South end. Our 20-acre site has 13.5 acres of planted, and 2.4 additional acres of vineyard potential with no previous fruit crops, which enabled our Registered Vineyard Block status for certified clean plant material.
Perched high on the bluffs and overlooking the stunning Columbia River, our growing 267-acre estate vineyard is located in the renowned Horse Heaven Hills Appellation. Here, on this dominant ridge, our grapes thrive in the distinct soils and climatic conditions of the Horse Heaven Hills. Coupled with passionate winemaking, we consistently ensure quality in every bottle through attentive viticultural management, maintaining balanced crop levels, and using gentle and sustainable methods for hand-harvesting and processing grapes.
Both Destiny Ridge and Knox Vineyard are located in the Columbia Valley. Encompassing more than a quarter of the state, the Columbia Valley AVA is by far Washington’s largest growing region at 11+ million acres. It is home to over 99% of all of Washington’s vinifera acreage.
